Playing characteristics – How this setup feels
Blade: Nittaku Flyatt Carbon Alpha
If carbon blades often feel too direct or too fast for you, the FLYATT CARBON ALPHA offers a more controlled introduction. Its larger sweet spot provides a more stable feel on contact and helps you play with greater confidence, especially when blocking, countering and during fast rallies. It feels less hard than many carbon blades and is more forgiving of small mistakes.
Rubber: Flyatt Spin
If you want to play offensively on the forehand but don’t want a rubber that becomes unpredictable with every slight variation in contact, the FLYATT SPIN is a very good match. Its grippy topsheet helps you brush the ball cleanly on topspin shots and generate spin, while the rebound remains easy to judge. This makes it easier to commit to your opening topspin instead of becoming hesitant.
On the backhand, the FLYATT SPIN provides a familiar and predictable feel. Especially when blocking, countering and playing active backhand topspins, this helps you take the ball early while still controlling depth and placement. If your backhand is still a little less consistent, choosing a 1.8 mm sponge can add some extra control.
Which sponge thickness should I choose?
With this bundle, you can choose between 1.8 mm and 2.0 mm.
As a general rule: A thicker sponge gives you more speed and more support on spin-heavy attacking shots. At the same time, the rubber becomes slightly more lively and gives up a little control.
A 1.8 mm sponge reduces the speed slightly and makes the rubber easier to control.
