Nittaku Factive Seven Bundle – Solid Control for Active All-round Players

✅ value a stable feel over strong catapult action
✅ want to play variably close to the table and from mid-distance
✅ are looking for an affordable blade-rubber combination
This might not be the right fit for you if:

Game Features
Blade: Nittaku Factive Seven
If your current blade sometimes feels a bit shaky during longer rallies, it’s often not a lack of speed but rather a lack of confidence in your ball contact. Especially with active shots, you want to feel where you’re hitting the ball and how much distance you’re generating.
The Nittaku Factive Seven is a seven-ply solid wood blade with a stable, slightly firm feel. It doesn’t feel erratic, but instead provides clear feedback at the point of contact. This allows you to better gauge placement, length, and speed.
This stability is especially helpful in a versatile all-around game. Blocks feel controlled, counterattacks can be executed cleanly, and the blade remains predictable even from mid-range. It gives you a solid foundation to play more actively without the racket dictating too much of the pace.
Forehand rubber: Nittaku Factive
On the forehand, the Nittaku Factive is a good choice for players who want to actively initiate their first topspin but don't want to feel like they're struggling against a rubber that's too fast.
The rubber offers a rather linear and controlled feel. This means it doesn't suddenly accelerate the ball, but responds to your movements in a way that's easy to predict. The grippy surface supports high-spin topspins without making the ball's bounce seem erratic.
This is especially helpful if you sometimes play it safe during a match because you're afraid of hitting the first shot too long. With the Factive, you can build up your shot cleanly, generate spin, and still maintain control over distance and placement.
Backhand rubber: Nittaku Factive
On the backhand, you often need a rubber that reliably handles a wide range of situations: blocks, counterattacks, push shots, opening shots against backspin, and controlled topspin.
The Nittaku Factive is designed to support exactly this kind of versatile backhand play. It feels smooth, is easy to control, and doesn’t give you an unexpected catapult effect on every shot. This is especially advantageous during fast rallies, because it allows you to place the ball more accurately and deliberately counter-attack or block.
Even when opening against an undercut, the ball's bounce remains easy to judge. This not only makes the backhand more reliable, but also allows you to actively set up the rally.
Who is this material recommendation intended for?
This rubber is particularly well-suited for all-around players with an aggressive style. It's ideal for players who want to gradually develop a more offensive game without switching directly to very fast rubber.
If you frequently score points with placement, spin, blocks, and controlled topspins, this combination will give you a reliable foundation. Even if you’ve been playing with a classic all-around blade and are looking for a little more stability without losing much control, you’ll quickly get the hang of this rubber.
It's especially useful if you want to do more than just react during the game—if you want to take a more active role—but with a racket that remains stable, reliable, and predictable.
Who is this bundle not really suitable for?
If you already play a very aggressive game and score a lot of points by playing at a fast pace or with powerful finishing shots, this combination will be far too slow for you.
Even if you're specifically looking for very dynamic rubbers with strong built-in catapult action, the Nittaku Factive is probably not the right choice. This rubber doesn't prioritize maximum acceleration, but rather stability, control, and a crisp feel.
What sponge thickness should I choose?
The right sponge thickness depends on how aggressively you play and how much control you want.
1.8 mm
More control, a smoother feel, and easier to handle. This thickness is a good choice when accuracy, placement, and consistency are your top priorities.
2.0 mm
A little more speed, more power for topspin, and a more direct feel. This tension is ideal if you regularly take the initiative and want to make your shots more aggressive.
Useful Combinations
Forehand 2.0 mm / Backhand 1.8 mm
A good choice if your forehand is already your stronger attacking shot and you want more consistency on your backhand.
1.8 mm on both sides
Ideal if control, consistency, and a smooth feel are most important to you.
2.0 mm on both sides
. This is a good choice if you play an aggressive style and want a little more power and spin without losing the controlled feel of the racket.
Conclusion
The Nittaku Factive Seven Bundle is a well-balanced combination for all-around players who want to play with more stability and aggression. The blade provides a smooth, reliable foundation, while the Factive rubbers support a controlled, spin-oriented style of play.
If you're looking for a set that gives you the confidence to build up your offensive shots more effectively while still remaining predictable, this combination is a great fit for your game.
